What type of fabric should I get? 

Most 3-piece suits will be a wool blend or 100% wool with a twill weave, which is not only comfortable but dresses up and down nicely. A linen suit can also be a good option if you live in a hot climate or have a beach or less formal event. 

What style and color 3 piece suit should I get? 

The style and color of your 3-piece suit is a highly personal choice. Single-breasted slim-fit suits provide maximum versatility for casual and formal events, while double-breasted suits are almost exclusively formal situation attire.
